The Fragrance Foundation describes fragrance as being like a “musical composition.”  The top note is the “overture,” the middle or heart note would be the “chorus,” and the base note is like the lingering memory of the song, “…lingering on the skin for many pleasurable hours.” I like this idea, because I use both scent and song to place memories. I recently read a thread in an online community that asked if it’s really necessary for men to have an “arsenal” of fragrances or should they, could they, stick to just wearing one fragrance. A couple of the points brought up included that in tough economic times people may purchase fewer high-end scents, why limit yourself to only one if you are a fragrance lover, and the idea of choosing a scent that becomes your “signature scent.” Personally, I like my man to have a few scents in rotation.
