Silhouettes’ boots are a lot roomier this season than last. I have some pairs in my closet that barely zipped from ‘08, and then the pair I tried on left room around my calves in a way I never imagined possible! There’s enough space for any thickness of denim or winter wool trousers, any pair of awesome tights… you get the picture. I was in the market for a going-out jacket, one of those only semi-practical numbers that you really hope you’re not wearing when your car breaks down! This metallic one over at Spiegel is just too cute–and metallic leather and I aren’t exactly on good terms, either. While I was worried about that cropped sleeve at first, I consoled myself by visually pairing it with my slinky sweater dress, one with long sleeves. Faith 21 has a few options added to their website that fit our 3X needs– my favorite was this fuzzy-looking shrug, but they also have a kimono dress and a t-shirt in their new extended sizing. When they have each piece available in size 3X, I’ll be so happy–this fitted stretch skirt is pretty hot!
