I have been a fan of eyebrow threading for the longest time, but I must say, with my busy schedule, I am unable to visit the salon at decent intervals, that leaves my brows deprived. Well, I came across this amazing beauty tool set for brow grooming called Tarte Toolbox.
As you open the toolbox which looks like a small lipgloss compact, it reveals a mirror, and a kit that contains a mini brow gel, a mini brow pencil, and a mini tweezer. When you open a side compartment, there is a brow wax and brow powder. Also included in the box are three stencils of varying sizes to fit our brow shapes or thickness.
What I did first was that I checked which of the stencils best fitted my eyebrows, and I chose the thinnest one – fine arch. I was surprised that it was the finest of them all because I considered my brows to be thick. I used the stencil, and swiped the brush with some brox wax , then brow powder to draw or shade the area within the stencil. I must also add that somehow, the brow wax makes the brow hair stick together to make them look messy.
Next, I remove the stencil, and check the area outside my product of shading, and get the mini tweezer to pluck the stray hair. I must say that this mini tweezer works really great in capturing even the tiniest stray hair – I am very impressed.
Last but not the least, I used the mini brow gel to make sure that my brows are in perfect shape, and would not stray for the night. It is best used sparingly, not too much so as to make it look too gelled up!
Overall, I am very pleased with the Tarte Toolbox as it gave me an emergency solution and at home do it yourself solution for brow grooming. I just hope that their stencils would have thinner arches, because I do think that there are definitely other people who have thinner brows than I do ( but not those super thin ones, okay?)
