Beauty On the Go: Traveling With Cosmetics

The upcoming holidays mean travel time to many people. Travel can be time-consuming and complicated these days. The best thing to do is to be prepared. I try to have some things pre-packed, in order to save time. Airline passengers are limited in what they can take with them on a flight.
I found this explaination of the cosmetics restrictions at the Travel Gear Blog:
1. Travelers may now carry through security checkpoints travel-size toiletries (3 ounces or less) that fit comfortably in ONE, QUART-SIZE, clear plastic, zip-top bag.
2. After clearing security, travelers can now bring beverages and other items purchased in the secure boarding area on-board aircraft. At the checkpoint travelers will be asked to remove the zip-top bag of liquids and place it in a bin or on the conveyor belt. X-raying separately will allow TSA security officers to more easily examine the declared items.
There are a couple of strategies that you can use in order to comply with the rules. The first is to purchase empty 3 oz size containers that you fill with your cosmetics. Or you can purchase small-size products.
For example, Donna Karan’s Cashmere Mist Deodorant/Antiperspirant is now available in a 1 oz size for travel.
If you make a $50 Donna Karan Beauty purchase, you qualify for a Cashmere Luxuries gift with purchase. The gift includes a cosmetic pouch, and two refillable 2.5 oz size body care products – a Body Creme and a Body Cleansing Lotion.
