Bitte Kai Rand ignores the weather

Doesn’t it seem like Scandinavian designers can effortlessly throw a look together that defies seasonal expectations?
Bitte Kai Rand is a great Dane with a knack for restraining the loose and cool bulk of canary-yellow harem pants and marrying a wispy midnight blue sheer-sleeved dress with what appears to be a five-pound leather and suede gem-of-a-shawl. Her spring/summer 09 collection has won me over, thanks mainly to its pragmatic pairing of picnic day precious with November camping-in-the-mountains rugged. But, you know, gorgeously rugged.

Love the saffron color, who-cares slouch and leggings and flats — it kind of reminds me of a pinafore designed for an art school brat.

Perfect peek of skin.

Great example of dressing for schizophrenic seasons.

A tall order of plain old pretty and sexy…hold the precious, please.
