Carmakoma is one of my very favorite places to shop for plus: it’s a treasure trove of 14+ pieces with true European flair, mostly because this label is actually from Europe. With creative cuts and plenty of romantic lines, this particular collection has made me a repeat customer for F/W 2009-10. As a plus-size shopper, you probably know just how very rare this is!

The Hallo Jacket ($173) has a functional and pretty texture of diamond-shaped topstitching, but it also employs some great detailing along the sleeves and button placket to make this piece stand out. Since we’re looking for functional pieces this time of year, I was pretty excited to see that this jacket features a higher-than-normal collar and a waist sash to keep out drafts, making this piece warmer than you might expect. I’ll probably layer it over a faux fur gilet when the weather gets colder, just so I can wear it longer!
