Designer Spotlight: Linda Loudermilk

I am interested in ways to become more “green” and Linda Loudermilk has convinced me that I must start wearing organic clothing.  She is a true revolutionary in the green movement and lives and breathes organic clothing.  She believes that organic fabrics can create a product that is both beautiful and soul-nourishing!

Loudermilk’s passionate ideas about creating clothing from sustainable materials have led her to pursue scientific research to discover plants and harvesting techniques that can create new fabrics for making clothing.  She uses textiles made from products like bamboo, seaweed, corn, soy, sasawashi, hemp, and organic cotton.  Her research has created completely new materials from pesticide-free organic plants and she is always continuing her research to stay at the forefront in these areas.

I love discovering designers that are equally passionate about design and the environment.  Loudermilk had reached success in the fashion world six years ago with a fabulous collection showing in Paris when she realized that she needed to infuse her love for the earth into her designs.  She realized that she could use her influence in the fashion world to make a difference in the area of organic clothing.  The result is the revolutionary organic luxury designs that Linda Loudermilk produces today.  What a beautiful story!
