Dolce & Gabbana: The Golden Beams Collection

Recently, we told you about the Dolce & Gabbana The Makeup The Romantic Collection for Fall 2009, and now we are going to jump ahead to the holidays! Their holiday collection is ultra feminine using shades of gold in a very sexy yet ladylike way. The Golden Beams Collection for Holiday 2009 will be available beginning in October 2009 at select Saks Fifth Avenue stores and saks.com.

“Gold has always been a Dolce & Gabbana signature,” notes Stefano Gabbana. “This collection, based on three shades of gold,” adds Domenico Dolce, “encompasses the sensual, natural and romantic nuances of surreal femininity.”

The look showcases precious yellow, white and rose gold. The eyes are intense with metallics and matte brown, combined with black mascara. Cheeks are highlighted with a new shade of blush in Caramel (right). And the lips are bold, shiny and red. It’s a very feminine collection that is perfect for holiday parties and special events. I love glamorous makeup at holiday time and I’m really looking forward to this makeup.
“Golden Beams is full of drama, but it’s a discreet drama,” says Pat McGrath. “The play of opposites-the brown and golds, the matte and shine – is so key; the look is quite daring and evocative-yet also very ladylike, polished and elegant.”
Scarlett Johansson is the golden girl in the campaign and is joined by David Gandy, “the ultimate Dolce & Gabbana man.”
