Double Wear Stay-in-Place ShadowStick

In the past, I always stuck with powder eye shadow. My experience with cream and other formulas wasn’t good. They always ended up creasing, looking cake-y, or fading away by lunchtime. However in recent years, cream eye shadow improved.

In the last year, I have found a number of cream shadows that I love. They provide fabulous color and many of them last as long as traditional powder.

Then, I was introduced to Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place ShadowStick. Could it be? A convenient, quick eye shadow stick that went on smooth and lasted all day? Though I am a big fan of Estee Lauder, I was definitely skeptical.

I was pleasantly surprised. This glide-on stick is silky smooth and the color is very nice. You can blend the shades together, wear them under powder or use them on their own. They last all day … and I mean all day from dawn ’til evening.

My only complaint is not enough colors. They come in six shades – Gold Pearl, Sand Shimmer, Golden Peach, Bronze, Rose Chrome and Black Pearl. I’d love to see some greens and purples.
