Emmy Awards Style Goofs

It’s inevitable that some red carpet accessories will raise an eyebrow or two.  After all, everyone has unique taste and what one fashion blogger loves, another might not…

That being said, I don’t think there are too many fashion bloggers who are in love with this particular red carpet look from last night’s Emmy Awards:

Okay, yes – personal style is very important, but this is the Emmys here folks…

I really, really want to love Kate Flannery’s whole outfit here – she’s got an adorable 50s vibe going on and that brooch on her waist is just charming:

But I can’t do the gloves.

I’m sorry.

I realize that makes me a bad person.

Maybe if they were more fitted?  A little less fabric at the wrist perhaps?

This however is just a plain old “no” for me:

Heavy, opague black tights with that slinky dress?  Bare legs and strappy sandals would have turned that outfit into something lovely – not a clunky pairing.
