fashion week: staerk 08 RTW

It’s kind of like a modern country club with girly touches. I really like this Staerk collection, which is prim and proper, but definitely modern.

This simple u-neck dress is pretty cute and has a boyish air, like a tomboy’s version of getting gussied up. I adore the shoes that the model is wearing, baby blue shoes are fantastic.

Love the button details on this cute dress. It’s clean and very country club, classic with a twist. The color is pretty too, not so bright and shocking, but a pretty muted fuschia.

More pastel touches in the shoes here. With a look that’s pretty classic and not as feminine as the dress above. High waisted, too.

Boiled down: there’s gingham and belting that I didn’t mention. Lots of skinny belts in popping colors.Very little volume (there’s one dress that had lots of it), but mostly formfitting silhouettes. I love a bubble skirt, but I’m glad things are getting a bit pared down. Volumedoesn’t always work for everyone.
