Finding Your Right Pink

Pink makeup is so pretty and feminine. I like experimenting with all shades of pink eye shadow and lip color. And though I found many pink eye shadows that I adore (usually when paired with purples), pink lipstick always looks a little bit off on me.

Maybe it’s because I’m too fair. So, I eventually go back to other colors — red, berry, brown … anything but pink.
Recently, I was trying out different lipstick from M·A·C Cosmetics and came across a terrific pink that I love — M·A·C Makeup Art Lipstick in High Strung.
High Strung is a dark pink shade with a little silvery quality. Similar shades normally don’t look good on me but this one is outstanding.
You can find M·A·C Makeup Art Lipstick in many shades at your local M·A·C counter or online at maccosmetics.com for $14.00 at tube.
Generally olive skin is flattered by true pink. Dark skin works well with rosy pinks and pinks with blue undertones. And very light skin should steer clear of pinks with yellow undertones, which make you look sallow. These are really broad guidelines — you have try out the colors yourself.
The lesson I learned is that everyone can find the right pink if you try hard enough!
