I love Kenzo Parfums. There’s this certain special aesthetic quality to all that the brand touches that I find fascinating. The scents, the packaging, the bottles – it is all exquisite.
Yesterday, I received a bottle of one of the three new Kenzo EAUX DE FLEUR fragrances in the mail. I loved it so much, that I’m putting it to the top of my list of scents to review.
The EAUX DE FLEURS are all light scents, which last for a few hours. They were each designed by three different fragrance designers whose mission it was to capture the scent of blossoming trees floating on the wind. The bottles have a unique design, a sort of flat, but flowing shape that mimics something rippling in the breeze. It’s lovely.

EAUX DE FLEUR de soie.silk
Designed by Jean Jacques of Takasago, de soie.silk carries the scent of silk flowers from the Nemunoki tree. It has “…a crimson note with a tender, fruity heart.” There is a definite fruit fragrance which melds well with the floral. It’s light and delicate, something that appealed to me as well as to my daughter. She has a fairly sophisticated nose for a tween. I like to think that it is due to my influence, but I’m fairly certain she comes by her taste on her own.
EAUX DE FLEUR de.magnolia
Designed by Francis Kurkdjian of Takasago, de.magnolia carries the scent of the magnolia blossom and notes of hesperidian. The intent is to “…capture the fragile crystalline freshness of a magnolia blossom, like a ray of spring sun piercing winter clouds.”
EAUX DE FLEUR de the.tea
Designed by Aurelien Guichard of Givadudan, de the.tea carries the scent of white tea flower blossoms, complimented by notes of green tea and musk.
In the US, you can find these new Kenzo scents at KenzoUSA.com
