Though I have a couple Armani pieces in my wardrobe, I had never tried anything from the Giorgio Armani Cosmetics line until recently. Many fashion designers have crossed over into the makeup world with varying degrees of success. When I was introduced to Giorgio Armani Maestro Mono Eyeshadow, I was pleasantly surprised.

Featuring a super silky formula, the shadow is available in three textures – Matte for deep color, Satin for “lustrous sheen” and Sparkling for shimmer. With colors ranging from pretty pastels (such as Sparkling Lilac and Matte Light Green) to deep, dark shades (such as Sparkling Blue Navy and Satin Black), you are sure to find a color and texture that you love. It seems to be available in 18 shades, plus three extra neutrals (Beige Pink, White Satin and Matte Dark Grey).

I loved this shadow because it was very blendable and smooth. The powder is so silky that it’s almost like using a cream shadow. It stayed put all day and didn’t crease or fade.

The good thing about the Maestro Mono Eyeshadow is that it’s only $28. And though that’s not cheap, it might not be as expensive as you’d expect from the Armani label.

You can get it online at Saks Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdale’s. Learn more about the line at the Giorgio Armani Beauty website.
