Though you can give the gift of pampering spa products to use at home, actually going to a spa is a fabulous experience.
One of the best spa hotels in the world is Fisher Island Hotel & Resort. A friend of mine visited this wonderful destination last summer and said it was heaven on earth.
Fisher Island is actually a 216 acre private island. Access is monitored very closely and only residents, their guests and guests of the hotel and Fisher Island Club are permitted to cross over from Miami Beach on the seven minute boat ride to Fisher Island.
Fisher Island was originally built in the 1920’s by Vanderbilts as their winter estate. Can you imagine?!
So, if you have ever wanted your own private island, this is it! The hotel consists of cottages, luxurious one-bedroom Villa Suites with private hot tubs, and spacious one-and two-bedroom Seaside Villas overlooking the Atlantic, adjacent to the private beach club.
The island features what is considered one of the top 10 spa retreats in the world, 18 tennis courts, 18-hole championship golf course, a marina and yachting center, gourmet restaurants, high-end shopping and much more.
I know that this blog post doesn’t have much to do with the glamorous beauty, fashion and skincare products that I normally talk about here. But I think that a trip to Fisher Island would definitely make a wonderful gift!
