Give Yourself a Right Hand Ring

Are you coming out of a relationship? Getting over a bad breakup? You don’t need an engagement ring to make a statement. Instead celebrate YOU by purchasing a special gift for yourself. If you want to splurge on a piece of jewelry, I suggest a right hand ring.

I believe every woman should treat herself to gifts every once in a while. Reward yourself and celebrate your independence, strength and individuality.

Here are a couple of my favorite right hand rings, in various price ranges.

You know I did the same thing. Not as bling of course, but the last time I took my wedding ring off, I went out and bought a nice silver Celtic-patterned ring.

    Been three years now.

Yes, I think it’s a great idea to buy yourself something special (big or small) when you are going through a transition period in life.

I think that right hand rings are a fabulous idea for any woman. But, they are especially great to buy or create after a divorce or break-up. Whenever a woman goes through a bad relationship she can find that she loses her sense of self. A right hand ring is a great way to symbolize regaining what has been lost or pushed back.

After my divorce, I stored away all the jewelry my ex gave me. Selling it seemed unrealistic because I would only get a fraction of what it was worth. So, I took my engagement ring, wedding ring and the other pieces that had diamonds to a local jewelry designer. I used a 3-stone pendant, along with the stone from my engagement ring and a few more small diamonds I purchased to create a magnificent right hand ring. I used my less expensive pieces as trade to help pay for the cost of the labor and the additional diamonds.

To me it symbolizes many things, and I am glad I used my engagement ring because the marriage was a learning experience. I’m also glad that I used new pieces to create the ultimate jewel of beauty. I had lost so much of myself in this marriage, the ring is like a phoenix that rose from ashes! It reminds me to always remain true to myself.
