Giveaway: Bambako Designer Headband

Young designer Abigail Ricarte’s Bambako line of hair accessories is sponsoring a giveaway on Splendicity for one reader to win a beautiful headband from her Fall/Winter 2009 line.  Bambako’s pretty headbands are handcrafted from colorful and textural materials like silk chiffon, satin, and grossgrain ribbon.

The unique designs are a fun way to add a little bit of character to a simple hairdo with vivid colors like bright purple, hot pink, and orange.  If you are looking for a more understated style, there are also designs in more simple gray, brown, and black.

I love the designs of the Outside Voice and the Holler from Bambako’s new line.  They are made from striped grossgrain ribbon wrapped and then folded and bunched to create a beautifully textured bow.  The striping gives a fun nautical feel that can be interpreted as sporty or dressy.  And aren’t the names of the designs so cute?
