Did you catch Susan Sarandon at the Golden Globe Awards last night?  Check out the spectacular diamond necklace she was wearing, on loan from Fred Leighton:

The 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards - Arrivals

Fred Leighton is of course, famous for their spectacular collection of antique and vintage fine jewelry, as well as their annual collections of jewelry.  Most award shows will have at least one celebrity sporting an amazing piece of jewelry on loan from Fred Leighton – and that should tell you how much the jewelry is worth when a celebrity can only have it on loan!

The Fred Leighton website it worth a browse – even if you can’t afford to buy!  Check out some of these amazing pieces of jewelry from recent exhibitions:

Edwardian Fan Brooch, Tiffany & Co, created from diamonds, gold, platinum and a natural black pearl.  From the “American Beauty” exhibition, Fall 2006.

Ribbon Bracelet, pink diamonds and pink gold.  Part of the “A Diamond Affair” exhibition from February 2007

14.23 carat emerald-cut Pink diamond ring, pink gold.  7.03 carat Canary diamond emerald-cut diamond ring, canary diamonds, yellow gold.  Both rings are from the “A Diamond Affair” exhibition from February 2007
