Go Bionic With Cole Haan

Cole Haan wants you to go “bionic” this summer!

Their new line of “Bionic” totes and purses is made with a unique yarn, made from recycled pop bottles.  Pop bottles have been used for years to create fabric, but Cole Haan is using a new process to make an ultra-sturdy fabric.

“Bionic yarn develops and manufactures premium quality yarns and fabrics made from 30-70% fibers of recycled plastic beverage bottles, through a special patented manufacturing method. Bionic yarn has durability, strength, and refined quality. It is available in either yarn form or fabric. The first step towards creating a healthier planet is made in the minds of the consumer. Providing consumers with the option to buy a high quality product made from recycled waste protects the environment from unnecessary harm and is the foundation of our efforts.”

The totes are created with vegetable tan leather and come in both “jelly bean“:
