Handbag Styles : The Satchel

I’m sure you’re all familiar with the classic handbag style, the satchel. The popular satchel shape holds a lot and still manages to look every bit as chic and sophisticated. When you think of a satchel shaped handbag, Louis Vuitton’s ever popular Speedy 25 or 30 probably spring to mind. The LV Speedy was first introduced in 1933 as a smaller version of their popular Keepall style. And it is one of the most popular, sought after and highly replicated bags in their line, today.
A lot of other designers have been creating similar rolled handle satchel bags for their lines. Here are two Speedy-esque bags I came across today…

Gucci Joy Medium Boston ; $630 at Gucci
This satchel is one the more popular styles. It’s similar to that of the Speedy in that it too, has the logo print all over the coated canvas. This can be purchase through the Gucci website or at one of their boutiques across the country.
