Homemade Lavender Bath Salts

If you want to make your own bath salts, it’s relatively easy. Homemade beauty products are inexpensive and they allow you to get the right amount of fragrance that you like. To create homemade lavender bath salts, you just need a few items. You can whip up a batch of bath salts in no time.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup epsom salt
  • 1/2 cup sea salt
  • 2 Tablespoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon glycerin
  • Food coloring (red and blue to make purple)
  • Lavender (or any fragrance you like) essential oil
  • Glass jar with lid

Directions:

  1. Combine epsom salt, sea salt and baking soda in large bowl and mix together with a wooden spoon.
  2. Add 1 teaspoon of glycerin and a few drops of food coloring to get your desired shade.
  3. Add 5-6 drops of essential oil and stir vigorously until ingredients are well combined.
  4. If the fragrance is not strong enough for you, add a few more drops of essential oil until your get desired results.
  5. Store in an air tight jar.
