Silver Heart Jewelry Box & Half Dozen Berries“There are a great many things to know about Diamonds and the Diamond Industry. By reading books and the information available on the Internet, you can learn a lot, but that still doesn’t help you much in physically grading a Diamond or going through the Diamond buying process. Nonetheless, if you know the right things you can have better success rate in buying a Diamond for a fair price. Here is a shortlist of the things you need to know. ”

I obviously have a lot to learn about diamonds. To be quite honest in the past, I have simply looked at the display until I see something that appeals to me. That was pretty much it. That was pretty much how I chose my engagement ring. I took my fiance to the jewelry store and picked out three or four rings that I thought were pretty and then simply told him to surprise me.

“Decide and write down, in order of importance, which of the 5C’s are most important to you: Cost, Carat, Color, Clarity or Cut. ”

That never even occurred to me! So did I get value for my engagement ring?? I still don’t know, but it still is the prettiest ring I ever saw!
