How to Easily Get Overseas Shipping from ANY U.S. Company

Thanks to a growing market for companies who specialize in international mail forwarding, it’s now possible for anyone anywhere in the world to purchase items from any U.S. company, even if that company doesn’t ship internationally.

You can forward one order, or you can have orders from different companies all shipped to a central location in the United States and forwarded to you in one shipment, which will save on shipping costs.  You can also set up the forwarding company’s address as a secondary address on your credit card, alleviating the problem of some U.S. companies not accepting non-U.S. credit cards.

Here are just a few of the many companies that provide this service.

0802_05_shipping1. Bongo International:   (Thanks to justaformality.com reader, Lea Cullen, for pointing me toward this company in a previous post.)  “Bongo International’s services provide our international consumers with a US address. The address is actually our warehouse located in the northeast. This allows consumers overseas the ability to purchase US goods, consolidate purchases, and have them shipped for international delivery.”  They ship to 223 countries worldwide.  They also offer personal shopping services where they will find the item you want at the best price.  They’ll coordinate purchases with such sites as e-bay and craigslist, too.  Read their FAQFind out how much it costs to sign up.

2. Access USA:  I’m not sure if this coupon code is still valid, but I found this on another site, so I thought I’d pass it along and you can give it a try:  SO-STS30 (might be able to save you money on sign-up fees).  “Our customers have complete control over the entire package forwarding process. Inbound shipments are immediately logged into our online database and our customers are notified of the arrival via e-mail. Our customers are able to view their received merchandise and schedule shipments through a personalized web page at any time, day or night.  In addition to the standard mail forwarding, they make it eally easy to subscribe to a number of U.S. magazines from their site and have a shopping section which provides links to various U.S. companies.  Read their FAQFind out how much it costs to sign up.

3. USA2Me:  In addition to mail forwarding, personal shoppers, and online auction services, they also offer a U.S. phone line that will ring in your country, professional referral services (such as for a U.S.-based doctor or attorney), and tax and accounting services.  “With your USA2Me rate plans, you may ship and receive your purchases right to your front door for as little as $2.35 per pound. Also, USA2Me’s parcel forwarding gives you the ability to consolidate your purchases or mail in a single package to save on shipping charges. Finally, for even more savings, you may request USA2Me to repackage your purchases to reduce the weight/volume and lower your shipping costs.”  They currently have a special offer where you can receive a free 1-year magazine subscription (your choice of a number of popular magazines) when you sign up.  Find out how much it costs to sign up.

Don’t let a company’s location stop you from getting that dress, bracelet, pair of shoes, or whatever your heart desires and deserves.  Become a part of the global community by discovering the world of international mail forwarding.

Thanks for the analysis. I have been using Bongo International for about 3 months and it is working great! I just bought a ton of stuff from cutesygirl.com and used Bongo to ship the items. I did the math to see what I saved. If I had shipped with Cutesygirl.com, it would have cost me $297.00. With Bongo, the same order only cost me $129.00. I highly recomend using one of these companies to anyone outside the US. I can vouch for Bongo that they have a great service and seem to have some of the best prices too.

Anabella — thanks for the response and sharing your personal experience. All I can say is WOW — this is an amazing savings!

This is a really good article. But I would like to vouch for http://www.worldpurchases.com, they are a smaller company but I feel they give me more of a personal experience that some of the other companies i’ve used such as AccessUSA or USA2me. I also like it how they don’t charge monthly fees like some of the bigger companies.

  4. Edie says:

Thanks for the tip and the link, Sandra.

I have used USA2Me.com mail forwarding many times for the past 3 years. They have always provided with great customer service. There prices are competitive and I usually save a lot of $$ by repacking. These services are great.

  6. Edie says:

Hi, J. Thanks for your input! I’m sure it will help others who are thinking about using USA2Me to hear from someone who has experience with them.

  7. I have used http://www.MyMailboxUSA.com . They don’t charge any monthly fees. They are very competitive as they use the US Postal Service.

  8. Edie says:

Sherry — Another great site for people to try. Thanks for sharing this link. :)

    I love BongoUS ! http://www.bongous.com

Been using them for over a year now and they consolidate my US purchases and ship them right to my door, saving me a lot of money.

They have a lot of international shipping info on their website, and a live chat option for any questions. BongoUS also offers a pay-per-use option while other mail forwarding companies require you to pay a subscription

i love bongo us. they are very reliable and great customer service. becareful using mymailboxusa.com , the owner with initial PB is very lack of respect to its customers. FYI i still have more than 5 item worth more than $750 with them, paid the shipment fee, then they just stopped replying my mail. be careful. choose wisely.

  11. Paul says:

    Don’t use MYMAILBOX.USA.

He stole $250 from me in October 2008.
I have found details about him (Prabir Barua), addresses, photos etc which I will post on the WEB soon to stop anyone else making the same stupid mistake that I did (and just in case you need to contact the police about him).

I have tried mymailboxusa.com and it worked perfectly. No problems whatsoever. Very nice contact, good service and low prices. I can only recommend it.
How exactly did he steal $250 from you Paul?

  14. Melisa says:

which one is cheapest and assured? i’ve came accross usa2me and they have membership with no monthly fees, does that cheaper than the one with monthly fees in terms of storage fees, consolidation fee, shipping?

  15. Mari says:

I do agree with Paul. Mymailboxusa.com is a scam service provider and nobody should deal with them. I lost total 600 USD worth of merchandise. My items were never combined for shipping. My purchases were made in September and October 2008. I am really amazed that this person is still in business. Anybody who wants more information, please contact me.

  16. Joey says:

Ripoff Report Verified SafeThey provide USA Mail Forward service and because i’m not an American so this service is useful for me to buy stuffs that just sell in USA, I signed up and provide the USPS 1583 form and everthing is just fine at the beginning.

Once I got the first package from one of my friend in USA (the sender) who use his Credit Card to buy stuff from an online shop, this service try to obtain the Credit Card information and ID of my friend by request him need to send those informations to their Email support if not they will return the stuff to the online shopping and you can image : I lost the fee for return shipping, the online shopping site can’t sell the stuff that they sold, my friend lost fee on chargeback. So before sign up with this service if you’re outside USA you need to obtain the USA Credit Card (it’s impossible) or you will have the problem like me, but if you accept their policy who know what they do with Scans of Credit Card and ID of your friend, your cousin, your partner,… So try to stay away them if you don’t want lost money for nothing.

HAhahahahahah. That Peter guy is something else. According to Bongo’s records:
“Please note that ‘Peter’ is not entirely certain where he is located. That said he could be from either Thailand or Vietnam which are both considered high risk countries.”

AND he couldn’t seem to provide appropriate documentation? Who’s fault is that? Companies like Bongo must have measures in place to protect themselves from people like this.

BongoUS is awesome! I ship with them on a regular basis, very straightforward, no troubles.
