I Am King?

I’m not a big Sean Combs fan. I know that is not always a popular point of view – the rest of the world appears to love Diddy. I am put off by his arrogance.
That said, I have to admit that I really enjoyed Sean John’s latest scent for men, I Am King. I like the freshness of the tangerine and orange citrus notes, I like the way the woody note grounds it a bit. It is very pleasant and refreshing. I’m not sure that it’s especially unique, but it is something that I would purchase for a man that I cared about and wanted to be close to.
Sometimes I wonder if a celebrity putting their own face and name on a product might not be the best marketing tool. For example, Paris Hilton might be cute, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to go out and buy her perfume, although I reviewed Fairy Dust and found it pleasant enough. If a celebrity wants to create a fragrance, why not just make a really, really good scent and trust that it has the strength to carry itself?

Fragrance notes: Tangerine, Orange, Cranberry, French Berry, Kir Royal Cocktail, Water Accord, Key Lime Pie, Lemon Crème, Labdanum, Cedarwood, Vetiver, White Moss, Sandalwood.

I agree with you that Diddy is arrogant, so I’m not his biggest fan either. But I give him props for being a self-made business man. I am, however, a fan of his drama-filled “Making the Band” series on MTV. Ego-maniacs make for good TV.
I agree. Nice guys don’t always make good reality tv. Have you smelled the I Am King?
With the success of Unforgivable, I Am King, confused me at first. But after smelling it, it all made sense. I can only assume it was meant for a younger customer. I found the fragrance sporty and actually liked it. I even had a friend do his own smell test. He put it against Gucci and the women in his office liked I Am King better. I think its a good spring/sumer weekend fragrance.
