I’m euphoric about Eufora

December 29, 2008 by Aly Walansky

You know how skin experts are always telling us to wash our face with cleanser and not water?

Well, the same should be said for our hair.

Eufora is the first hair product I have come across that uses Aloe Vera gel as its base (vs. water). This intrigued me from the get-go. Aloe contains elements that are essential to cellular healing, renewal and growth and also delivers amazing antibacterial, anti-viral and antiseptic properties. Already, site-unseen, this made this a product I was excited to try.

The company has recently launched some really cool products, including a biodegradable clarifying shampoo that was developed with the help of an Elle Magazine beauty editor. And all are made to agree with your specific hair needs (frizzy? color-treated? dry? cranky?!)

Even better, I’m excited to say Eufora has agreed to be part of one of the first StyleHerHair.com contests: Three winners will each receive their pick of 2 care (shampoo & conditioner) and 3 styling products! Choose your cocktail (hehe) at Eufora.net

To have your chance to be victorious, please list three things you’ve learned from this blog in the last week. Winners will be chosen from correct entries (at random). Deadline is February 14. (Because we all deserve SOME reason to celebrate this Valentines Day!)

Straight hair will continue to be in style but loose spirals or tight ringlets will take center stage for 2009. This seasons hair color trends are more natural than ever: Colorful, chunky streaks are out; dimensional earth tones. and lastly, Robert Pattinson, who stars in the sexy vampire movie Twilight, has infuriated his fans by….cutting his hair! would love to try these products so fingers crossed!

  6. Kendra says:

  9. Vilma says:

WAAAA! My idea has been stolen! Stolen I tell you. I have been adding Aloe (and other stuff I refuse to mention before that idea gets stolen too!) to my shampoos and conditioners from my very own Aloe Plant for YEARS. Guests that come over always tell me they love staying over because their hair always looks better! Had I ‘bottled’ my idea first, I would have been the sponsor of this great giveaway!

The three things I learned this week are:

    1. How to Create a classy up-do <–I usually just let my hairdresser do it!
    2. That I’m not alone: According to recent studies, as many as one in three women suffer from some kind of hair loss or thinning hair
    3. Apparently people in the “Near East” curled their hair by coating it in clay and then allowing the sun to bake it. <–I’d never heard of this before!

I visited Eufora’s website and have to say I can’t wait to get my grubby little hands on the ‘Smooth-N Straightening Balm!

  10. Lorri S says:

Three things I learned from your blog:

    2. You should avoid clear shampoos and opt for a creamy formulation instead… This will help to detangle, smooth the hair shaft and cut down on static electricity. (I have enough static electricity to run a small city!)
    3. Martha Stewart’s hair was not a “good thing” when photographed recently at the Fountainbleau.
Thanks for the chance & Happy New Year!

3 – Use a moisturizer every day in the winter, especially if you live in a home with forced air heat.

Thank you SO much for blogging about Euphora’s products. I have only tried their style sculpting glaze, but I have to say it is one of the best…if not THE best…product I have ever used on my curly hair. It provides great, flexible hold and fights frizz without being sticky, crunchy, or gunky. It is also fragrance free, which I like. It basically makes it look like you have no product in your hair…and that your hair is just naturally beautiful and lays in place perfectly. Unfortunately, there aren’t a whole lot of salons that carry Eufora, so you may have to go a bit out of your way to get it. I ran out of product so I bought Aveda’s Confixor today, but it is horrible…doesn’t define curl like I want it to and it stinks horribly! I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I’ll get picked and can add some Eufora back into my daily beauty routine. Here are three things I’ve learned from your blog in the last week:

    1. Use low lights to create a super sophisticated blonde look.
    2. Use a dry shampoo to refresh hair if you’re going straight from work or other engagement to a holiday party.
    3. Goody has a new collection of fashionable accessories made to match your hair color.

    i hope i win
