Are you familiar with Christopher Kon? When I spotted his handbags on the Neiman Marcus website I was intrigued. Established in 2000 at the age of twenty-three, Christopher Kon has created a line of handbags that are modern, edgy yet timeless. The leathers are high-quality Italian and hardware treatments are distinctive. They are also nicely priced!
The Jaime Leather Hobo ($360) and the Jagger Nylon Hobo ($155) are two similar bags in shape but each one has distinctive features that make them stand out from the rest. These bags are worthy investment pieces if you’re looking to add a grey or black bag to your collection.
The Jaime Hobo is shown here in one of Fall’s ‘it’ shades, Grey. It will also be available in Magenta at a later date. This bag is perfectly sized at 10″H x 18″W x 2″D, to use as an every day, go anywhere bag. If you’re not the type to carry around everything plus the kitchen sink, this hobo is for you! The leather is buttery smooth and the fun pleats at the bottom give it interest.
If you want a bag that will be light weight and one that you don’t have to worry too much about, the Jagger Hobo is for you. It’s made out of black nylon and trimmed with leather. The nylon material is easy to clean while the tonal leather trim gives it a dash of luxe. This hobo is slightly bigger at16 1/2″H x 18″W and it has a bit of a ‘rock’ edge to it.
Both of these bags are available now on the Neiman Marcus website. I really like these bags and I’m looking forward to following up on what Christopher Kon has in store for fall and winter.
