Jr. Designer Diva

My daughter wants to get this designer bag for when she starts middle school in the fall. The only thing is, is that I don’t really know if I want her to sport a new designer bag that’s close to $200 and worry that it “might” get stolen; it probably will. So, what do I do?

And, before you suggest that she gets a second hand purse, that won’t work. Anytime I mention that, she very carefully looks at me and even more carefully answers me with a look and semi-audible words that say, “Aaahhh, no thanks ma.” So, what’s a mom to do?

She’s a good kid, gets top-notch grades, helps with her brothers and is very respectful to her parents. But a $300 bag? I don’t see it happening. Any suggestions folks?
