Lady Gaga Named Stylemaker of the Year

The Accessories Council, another non-for-profit fashion organization, has grown to include more than 150 members including some of the world’s leading retailers, brands, and designers. It was established in 1995, and since its establishment has led classes, seminars, networking events, and various other initiatives to encourage the growth of fashion industry.

For the past 13 years the organization has held an annual ACE Award Gala in tribute to the leaders of the accessory industry. Marc Jacobs will give Lady Gaga (of much inspiration this Halloween season and always the accessory maven) the Stylemaker Award when the Honorees are given their awards on November 2, 2009. In addition to Lady Gaga being awarded the Stylemaker Award, the following people will also be honored:

Brand of the Year: Burberry
Marylou Luther Award for Fashion Journalism: Hal Rubenstein
Influencer: Fred Allard
Fashion Icon: Barbie
Humanitarian of the Year: TOMS Shoe
Retailer of the Year: Zappos.com
Retail Innovation: Gilt Groupe
Magazine of the Year: V Magazine
Accessory Visionary Award: Diane von Furstenberg
