Last-Minute Halloween Prep

At the 11th hour, I have decided to be Glenda the Good for Halloween – pretty much entirely because:

1 – I was invited to a Wizard-of-Oz themed party

2 – I was in a Halloween store and saw a pink marabou witches hat

Now, I realize this is imperfect because Glenda did not actually WEAR a witches hat..but rather a crown. And didn’t wear pink, but gold..but whatever. Pink is my signature color, and…the hat was cute.

She does, however, have long bouncy hair. I, alas, do not. I do not want to wear a wig though – I experienced last year, as Mary Anne, that wigs tend to MOVE throughout the night..and become way way less believable. Or sexy.

As I was looking for that final touch, I remembered that I had my beloved Ted Gibson clip-in extensions!

Now, Glenda was a strawberry-blonde in the movie, but a platinum blonde in Wicked. I have decided to do the Wicked interpretation – creative license – and go with blonde. Mostly because I happen to be blonde.

So, I shall be wearing my “Reese” extensions – pictured above.  I love them because they are super easy to use, clip out when I’m done (but not BEFORE I’m done) – and even better, after the Halloween festivities and trick-or-treating are over I can reuse these gorgeous locks to create another new look for any occasion! Like, say, going to the mall.

Stay tuned…pix of me in costume will be coming this weekend!
