looking for evening bags

I’ve got an formal ball coming up in a couple of months and would really prefer to be prepared ahead of time!

I’m on the lookout for the perfect evening bag – something to coordinate with a smoky-grey/ivory outfit.  It’s got to be something small enough that I can tuck it under my arm, but it still needs to carry my lip gloss & drivers license.

Something elegant – maybe with a vintage flare?

I love the Boomerang Pochette from Tod’s – it’s the perfect size (6.5″ X 4.25″) and the color would work with my outfit.

This lovely evening bag from Whiting & Davis would definitely fufill the vintage look requirement.

Another candidate – this is a velvet evening bag from Le Silla.  I love the handle, but I’m not 100% sure if I like the suede tassel on the bottom.

Thoughts?  Suggestions?

Since you’re wearing a neutral outfit, I say go for a clutch in a bright color like turquoise or red. Purple would also be a great choice if you want something that will draw attention without being obviously flashy. I’ve seen (and bought) some great clutches at Stein Mart recently at very good prices. If you have one locally, it’s definitely worth checking out.

Hmmm – that’s a greay suggestion! I’ve come across some gorgeous jewel-tone evening bags too :-)
