M·A·C Softsparkle Eye Pencil

The best part of holiday makeup is the sparkle. If you aren’t generally into glitter and glam, it’s the perfect excuse to branch out a little bit and get into the glitz. You don’t have to go with full-on glitter makeup, however. There are ways to get just a touch of holiday sparkle without overdoing it.

My new favorite eye liner is M·A·C Softsparkle Eye Pencil. This limited edition liner is a creamy eye pencil that is infused with glitter. The soft texture makes this pencil glide on smooth. The micro-fine glitter offers just the right amount of sparkle that you are looking for.

Right now at M·A·C, you can get the limited edition Softsparkle Eye Pencil in Nightsky (true black with silver pearl) or Iris Accents (pale Violet with silver pearl). You can use these pencils to line both upper and lower lashes, but they are not recommended for the inner eye rim.

I found that lining your eyes (both upper and lower) with the Nightsky first and then adding the violet along the outer portion of your lower lashes gives your eyes a sparkly pop. These colors are a nice complement to deep plum and even green eyeshadows.
