People have been going crazy over Aretha Franklin’s hat that she wore at President Barack Obama’s Inauguration. Luke Song, who designed the hat and works at the store that the Queen of Soul bought it from, reportedly had the following to say.
"We even have a lot of men calling to get it for their wives, mothers and grandmothers. They want the same hat, but they understand it’s for the ‘Queen’ only. Ninety-nine percent said, ‘That’s fine. I’ll get the next best thing.’"
According to him, Franklin put together the design of two different hats to make the bold design of hers. "She walked through the shop and said ‘I want that bow (put) on that hat,’" he said. "She had the coat already, but she needed the hat to set it off."
Check out what Ellen DeGeneres had to say about the hat after the jump!
Even Ellen DeGeneres is talking about the hat. Recently on her show, she came out saying how “coincidental†it was that she was going to be wear the very same hat at the Inauguration. I love the part where she talks about Us Weekly.
