Mexico City Fashion Week: Rapsodia

Rapsodia is a distinctly Latin American fashion line that has locations in Argentina, Mexico, Chile and Spain. It is a-mazing! I fell in love when I saw it. The next time one of my Mexican co-workers go to Mexico to see family I am going to ask her to pick me some stuff up form there. This means I need to start saving up!

If you have taken any Spanish classes in high school you have seen pictures of little old ladies wearing bright textiles. This is what this outfit reminds me of. Except it’s not just cultural. It’s fashionable. I would wear the sweater everywhere. The colors are very fall/winter for those of us in the South. The dress…what can I say about this dress? Where can I get one? It almost reminds me of some dresses done by Tory Burch. Love it!

If I showed up at work like this I think my co-workers would wonder why I was wearing every single piece of clothing I own! Wow. Talk about layers. This model can certainly pull it off. I adore the bright yellow paired with all the dark fall colors though. This is obviously giving all of us permission to wear some bright colors during the fall, right? When you see me rocking my bright pink scraf in October you all can cite this photo.

If you aren’t that daring, then this is probably more your style for the Fall season. All black! I like the flowy almost boho chicness of this top and the skinny jeans. But, what is the deal with the rain boots? Are those rain boots? I’m not sure. I would have paired the outfit with some ankle boots or something more trendy. But, lo que sea sea (but whatever).

This runway was fab. I am seriously contemplating some type of fashion trip to Mexico to go to one of these stores. I wish they had a location in Monterrey. Then I could go to Monte de Obispo too. That place was beautiful (just a plug for Mexican travel..). And check out that maxi dress on the right. It transitions right over to the fall, no?
