MUFE HD High Definition Microfinish Powder

I’m a makeup and all around general beauty addict and I also have sensitive skin that’s prone to oiliness. With that being said, I am very careful about what makeup I buy and what I put on my face.  One of my very good friends recently tried the MUFE HD Powder and she raved about how much she loves it and how I would love it.  I hesitated about picking it up because I wasn’t too sure if I’d like it and I wanted to do a little more research on the product and of course, read reviews.

Finally, about a week ago I ordered the Best of Make Up For Ever Set from Sephora because well, it was a pretty awesome deal, and I have to say, I’m completely in love with the MUFE HD Microfinish Powder!

The Make Up For Ever (MUFE) High Definition Powder is essentially a finishing powder you dust all over your face after you’ve completed your make up application.  As you can see from the picture above, the colour of it is white. I was put off by this as well but I can tell you, it doesn’t make your face white at all, the powder is translucent. I’m sure if you’re over zealous with the application you will get a whitish cast or glow to your face but trust me, you do not need a lot.

The powder itself is ridiculously silky to the touch and fine. Super fine, micro fine even! It’s truly something you have to feel for yourself as it’s hard to describe.  I’ve used it every day since I received my order and it does a really great job with setting my make up and mattifying my problematic t-zone. It won’t totally sop up all the oil but it will minimize it a lot.

One of the best things about the HD Powder is how it makes your skin feel. Once you put it on, your face will be super smooth to the touch.  It feels like nothing actually. There’s none of that cakey, powdery feel that some mattifiers have.

It is made out of 100% silica powder (also talc free!) so if you are allergic to that you will definitely not want to purchase this product. If you’re not, you’ll love this. It was create to soften imperfections and generally make your face look flawless.  So far I haven’t had any issues with my skin breaking out either so that’s a big plus in my book!

It’s not a wonder product by any means but it does its job – at least for me.  The price might be a little steep for some of you, $30, but seeing as how you only need a teeny tiny amount, the .35oz jar will probably last your whole lifetime.
