My favorite summer moisturizer

Put a cork in me. I’ve fallen in love with Cosmedicine Medi-Matte Oil Control Lotion with SPF 20 and there is no way I’ll spend another hot, humid summer (or spring..or fall) without it.
If you have oily or combination skin, Medi-Matte will zap the excess shine from your pores for, literally, hours. The lotion, which I’ll admit goes on a bit thick, contains sunscreens that protect against both UVA and UVB rays. It’s also filled with antioxidants including yeast and pomegranate extracts and Vitamin C.
Spread the lotion well into your skin and, if you wear powder or foundation, allow the moisturizer to penetrate for a few minutes or I imagine your primer will wind up looking like a cakey, cracked mess.
I love how teeny Cosmedicine makes my pores look and the fact that it cuts pressed powder right out of my summer make-up routine. At $42, it certainly isn’t drugstore-cheap, but is comparable to most of Dermalogica’s effective daytime moisturizers and about a fraction of the price of the dreamy, but out-of-most-leagues duo Tracie Martyn Firming Serum and Tracie Martyn Enzyme Exfoliant.
Like I said, it’s a keeper.

I have freckled, dry, sensitive skin and I don’t know how I would live without the “Made from Earth” Rosehip Serum.
I guess it’s true that “everybody different.” I use the Made from Earth Rosehip & Hibiscus face serum as my daily moisturizer and it works wonderfully well for that purpose. Most creams will sink right in and then in an hour or so the top layer of your skin will look dry again. Not this one. It sinks right in but the top layer of your skin stays smooth and supple and doesn’t look dried out at all. It does the same on your hands.
For my money it is the best moisturizer I’ve ever found – only $18 and I have paid over $100 for some moisturziers!
As others have mentioned, the fact that it doesn’t have added fragrances or a sunscreen are big a plus — those things are what irritate my skin terribly. I recommend the Made from Earth “Rosehip & Hibiscus Face Serum” to everyone — particularly for daytime use, with or without makeup. It’s the best.
