Now Available at Ikea: Lie Sang Bong S/S 10

I’ve only been to Ikea once. Once was enough, it’s love. I own a Hopen bed,  a duvet cover, a lamp, and some other knickknacks from the store. I appreciate the modern and sensible style of the store, when applied the right way. The wrong way to apply the Ikea style – on the Spring / Summer 2010 runway in Paris.

Lie Sang Bong embraced the Ikea style in all the wrong ways today in Paris. I think I’ve seen this bowl at Ikea. I would put some fruit, some beads, or some jewelry for safe keeping in it. But, not on my head! Maybe if I’m planning on going up to space to be with the aliens. This is ridiculous! And if I am going to play devil’s advocate it almost looks as if the model’s hair is tied underneath her neck.

In addition to the hat/bowl check out that dress! It sure looks like these could be some bluish grey curtains pinned to the model’s body. It’s just disastrous. Lie Sang Bong, if I were a judge on Project Runway, you would be out. I’m sorry. It was a good laugh, though.
