Say you have a not too casual but not too dressy dinner plan with a few of your friends or maybe you have a dinner date with your significant other, whatever will you wear?! A great pair of jeans are one of my must-haves for a fun night out. I gravitate towards dark washes because they’re the most flattering and they have a more ‘dressed up’ feel.

Here’s an outfit idea for those fun nights out using a pair of dark wash skinny jeans.

When I saw this Anthropologie Frayed Bouquet Top ($58), I knew I had to create an outfit for it.  It’s a flattering jersey top so it’s really comfortable to wear and light weight. Plus, I love the green ribbon at the waist and the black and white floral print.

I paired the top with these dark rinse Old Navy The Diva Skinny Jeans ($29.50). As I stated before, I love a dark jeans so this almost black pair is perfect for this look.

Instead of a cardigan or long coat, you can wear a nice fitted and cropped blazer like this Old Navy Essential One Button Blazer ($39.50) in a grey shade. Wearing a blazer like this will allow the longer hem of the top to show underneath.

I kept the accessories pretty simple but not boring. I chose to go with these pretty Forever 21 Painted Drop Doily Earrings ($2.80) and Smooth Glittered Bangle ($5.80) in black. You can wear a necklace with this look but if you do, switch out the earrings to something a little simpler, like studs.

For shoes you can do what I show here by wear a pair of grey ankle booties like these super cute Hypnotic Northern Ankle Boots (on sale $22.49; regular $24.99) or even a pair of gladiator shoes or pumps. You can also wear black, silver shoes or  if you have a pair, green shoes. For a fun contrast wear silver or even mustard yellow!

To complement the green, I found this playful Iguana Ring ($148) from Anthropologie. Cute, no? ;) It’s a fun accessory to add just so the outfit doesn’t look so serious.

And lastly, you’re going to need something to hold your essentials and this Felix Rey Zip Top Flower Clutch ($140) in Hunter Green would be a fantastic choice.

This outfit is a bit on the matchy-matchy side but it’s not too over the top.  On warmer evenings, go without the blazer, grab a black pashmina shawl and put on a pair of wedges or sandals.  Quick and easy!
