Wedges, my friends, are not going anywhere. They’ve had a good three years on the fashion front, but their popularity shows no signs of abating, and given the total awesomeness of some of the new fall wedges, I really don’t want them to go away, anyhow. Check out this t-strap/penny loafer/patent wedge hybrid:

These are a little bit hip to be square, and a little bit goth. I love the side cut outs, with the straps and buckles, and subtle contrast between the grain leather wedge and patent upper. These babies will look great with all the crisp trousers and slouchy skirts of the fall. But, I really think you need to see them on to appreciate them, because they look like they could look a little clunky.
