Perfume for your Pet?

Move over Juicy Crittoure. Outta the way, Bark Jacobs. A hot, crazy trend in fragrance is perfume for dogs. I’m hanging out right now with my little guy, Mackie the pug, and I just asked him if he wanted some doggy perfume for the holidays. He snorted in my face and yawned, which I took as a resounding no. The New York Times recently remarked on this weird phenomenon. My personal take is that A) dogs smell like dogs, and B) if your dog smells TOO MUCH like a dog, give him a bath. Don’t even bother with nice-smelling suds, either, as it could aggravate skin allergies. Seriously, people!! Would you ever buy (and use) perfume for your dog? I’ve got a better idea – donate the $80 for the Juicy Crittoure perfume and grooming products to an animal shelter or breed rescue. Mackie says the folks at Mid-Atlantic Pug Rescue were super nice to him and they smell way better than any perfume.
