Perfume of the Day: Nanette Lepore

I’ve been slowly getting bits and pieces of this collection – I’ve now tried the body creme and the eau de parfum. For those of you that don’t know, Nanette Lepore is a fashion designer who mixes bohemian styles with girly shapes. Think velvet, purple baby doll dresses. This scent is a lot more just straight up girly than I would have expected. It’s a fruity-floral, and the basenotes of Amber and Sandalwood don’t really develop on my skin enough to give it a “La Boheme” vibe. The bottle is cute – kind of a white, retro bakelite feel with roses and iris drawn on it. You can purchase the scent at Neiman Marcus and Sephora.
Moonstone Rose, White Peach, White Cranberry Juices, Magenta Nectar, Black Currant, Orange Jasmine, Persian Lime Juice, Velvet Violet, Amber and Indian Sandalwood.
