OOOOH, I would love to get my hands on those. Planning my wedding is my hobby.
I don’t have my dress yet, but I want it to be elegant and simple but not boring! I don’t do poofy, although I like the look on other people.
I think that my man and I will probably elope to some degree, not a hush hush, but I have a HUGE fam, and his is teeny. SO my wedding dress will be elegant and simple, and beachy. then we will come home and have a nice wedding party and it will be a little more glammed up. that is what I need help with!
My neice would love this
This is great contest prize
My daughter’s getting married next year. She (I) really need some wedding planning help. These would be great!
just getting going but it will be a cream- simple elgant gown – might even get a light brown- we are working on it but making it a simple peaceful nonstress wedding
I actually just started looking for my dress and haven’t found what I want yet (I tried on 19 today!) I am considering any brands but I want something rather simple (no puffy for me!) and a champagne type colour.
My goal is to lose weight before I get my wedding dress but I’ve had health problems and gained, but I used to be slim. It would be great to win these books, they are no doubt full of useful ideas.
Daughter is still in the contemplation stage, no plans, but soon
Just what you need for a wedding
It’s hard to pick the right dress for a wedding, especially if it’s your second time around. Should you wear white? Off white? Long? Short? What’s appropriate? I’m looking at a few dresses but I’m just stuck at what’s appropriate and what’s not
This would be great for me as my husband and I are planning our second wedding! I want to do it with all the frills! We will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and not just simply renewing our vows but our devotion to each other and recelebrating the fact that we are still as much “In-Love” with each other as we were when we did it the first time!
What a wonderful bunch of books. Can’t wait to dive in.
We’ve just started planning our wedding. I’m looking for a vintage style dress. Something with either an Edwardian or 1930’s style. These books would be a great help!
My wedding isn’t till June 26, 2010 but we are doing a mardi gras theme wedding. My soon to be husband is from New Orleans and had to relocate to Pennsylvania to live with family after Katrina hit. So we have decided to bring mardi gras to PA.. i have 6 bridesmaid 2 are wearing green dresses, 2 are wearing purple dresses and 2 are wearing gold dresses. There are dresses i like from mori lee and alfred angelo.. The dress i want is alfred angelo diamond white.. i love lace.. i haven’t really did much thinking for the dress i will in a year. but i imagine it will be a great beautiful wedding!
I don’t have my dress yet because we are just getting started. We are planning a destination wedding so I plan to get a simple elegant dress. I would love to win these books.
Been married 27 yrs now, my dress was high neck lacy and long sleeves very victorian-like! My daughter just got engaged and plans to marry next summer! These will be great for her!
My dream dress, which I hope to shop for in the next few years, would be a very romantic style. Nothing contemporary and bland. It would have laces at the back, an a-line bottom and a tight corset, as well as off-the-shoulder long sleeves.
My dream wedding dress is white, made of of beautiful french lace with lots and lots of beading! Great books!!
Elegent creamy dress with low v neckline laced with pearls.
My sister is getting married in a few months, but not quite done with her ‘attire.’ would LOVE to win this for her THANKS
I haven’t gotten my dress since i am not planning on getting married for another two years but I definitely would want a white dress with a small train with light beading and lace. I like the A-line and empire styles on the idea of a slim line cut with a light fabric of silk.
I just found my dress the other day and cannot stop thinking about it! The lady helping me picked it out and told me I just had to try it on. I wasn’t too sure about it when I first put it on and wanted to take it off but she insisted that I let her finish lacing me up and clipping me in so I could see the full picture.
I like it more in the dressing room but when I walked out to show my mom and future mother in law – they both gasped and smiled. I LOVE it – I didn’t want to take it off and only tried on one more dress before deciding nothing would measure up to “the dress”.
I cannot wait to put it on on our wedding day and watch Jasons face when he sees me in it for the first time!
I would LOOOOVE LOOOOVE to win these books – I’m in the middle of a planning frenzy!
I’m wearing just a simple white dress. I’m eloping and it’ll be an outside wedding.
my sister is planning on getting married and she has no idea on wedding dresses. I would love to win this prize for her.
Great prize. Please enter my name. Thanks.
No dress yet, and I’d hate to limit myself to just one or a handful of designers. I know I wouldn’t go with anything too big because I’m short and I don’t want the gown to overwhelm me. If I have a destination wedding, then it would have to be light and flowy… but I’d have to get a second dance-ready dress for the celebration back at home! Thanks
My favorite way of learning how to do new things is through reading! This would be great for me. Thanks
my dress is a 60’s prom dress from the thrift store!
I am reading, looking and getting tips from others.
I do not have a dress as of yet….still looking and reading. Thanks
My dress was on the rack at David’s Bridal, it fit perfectly! No alterations needed! Definitely meant to be.
Can always use a little extra help planning.
If we opt for the destination wedding my dress will be very informal, probably a cotton sundress. If we opt for the sunday brinch wedding, it will be a little more formal but still simple. Sweetheart neckline, no train…but at the end of the day, it’s a dress I’ll onnly wear for like 6 hours, so as long as I;m comfortable and it photographs well, I’m good.
it will be somthing simple as I will be renewing my vows
wow
What a great giveaway!
My dress is still only in my mind… It’s a destination dress – definitely a classic, yet understated and simple. Since I’m a klutz, it would have straps of some kind – I could just picture myself stepping on the hem of a strapless dress and horrifying the assembled crowd…. Definitely no train.
I’m sure I’ll find it soon!
We’re getting married on a beach (haven’t decided if I’m going barefoot or not) so I want my dress to be very simple, but still elegant and beautiful. Maybe not even a full length dress and simple straps up top, but maybe criss-crossing for a nice design element.
I want my gown to be comfortable and easy to move around in. I want it to be made of a light material like chiffon, tulle, lace or pineapple fabric. I prefer my gown to be flowy instead of structured.
I NEED this! I’m not a girly girl, so this whole wedding planning this isn’t for me! The only thing I know for sure is that I want a plain, simple dress. One that looks like the gowns the ladies in the 1920’s era movies wore for a night out on the town. Thanks for such a wonderful offer!
My dad gave me a porcelin doll when I was little and said it looked just like me. She had ivory skin, red lips and long dark hair. She was wearing beautiful tiara an ivory dress with a silver bodice. The dress was speckeled with rhinestones and split in the middle revealing a silver underlay. It was always my dream to recreate this dress.
It must be Vera Wang!
I would love these books!
a simple lace top with off white bottom
My wedding dress is made completely out of layers of grosgrain ribbon. It is a cream color and barely hits the floor. So beautiful!!
I just started planning, so I don’t have a dress yet. I want a corset top and kinda poofy, but not over the top. I would love to win these books to help me plan!
My dress is absolutely nothing like what I thought I would wear, it is strapless, beaded and full. The second I put it on, I held my breath because I couldnt wait to see myself in the mirror, and sure enough, it was THE ONE!!
I don’t have a wedding dress yet but my ideal dress is slimming with a silky fabric. The top will be spaghetti stripes to show off my arms and my collar bone. Anyways, this may change when I start trying on dresses. I just want something that will make me look amazing.
So far, I’ve only been “shopping” in the magazines. I’m very petite, so I think it will be a simple, elegant dress that won’t overwhelm me.
I’m considering a dress with long sleeves and lots of lace. Haven’t decided yet what else I want.
