Room Remodel Starts with Home Fragrance

I’ve been looking around my home, dreaming of a makeover. I will get to it all, eventually, but some of the purchases I want (and need) to make are pricey. I need a new couch, for one thing. The one that I have is comfy – everyone mentions this when they sit on it – but it’s broken and I’m worried that at some point one of my guests is going to let out a hearty laugh and break through to the floor. That would be embarrssing.

I’m going to start with this Table Sconce that was hand-crafted by Richard MacDonald. It reminds me of sea glass, you know those little pieces of smooth glass that you find when you walk along the shore? The light from a candle will look beautiful reflected by and through the different cuts and textures of glass. It measures 5 inches high by 3 3/4 inches wide.

It has a combinaton of Lemon Verbena, Lavender, and Thyme. It’s off-white, so it would make a subtle decorating accent. I am looking for a beachy combination of tan, off-white, brown, and light blue accents. The Madagascar candle is a caramel brown. It would work well, too. It’s Orchid, Vanilla, Freesia, and Jasmine. Or the Havana in a cocoa brown with notes of Bergamot, Cuban Tobacco Leaves, and Ylang-Ylang.
