Short Hair Is Out, Long Hair Is In!

I think there’s something about the Fall – people suddenly let their hair grow longer, and the summer bobs (or “lobs”) finally leave, leaving long hair back in style.
I’ve always preferred hair long – I think it’s more feminine and sexy on many of us – and this season, you’ll see it in the form of long, luscious waves, Bohemian fringe, and the always classic straight and sleek.

Take the picture at left as an example? The model on the runway is at the AdLlib Fashion Show 2009 at the Reina Sof’a Park in Ibiza, Spain – her hair style is long, and voluminous in a way that is almost earth-goddess-meets-flower-child.
Are you ready to grow your hair out? It’s a difficult time in a girl’s life – undoubtedly, you’ll hit that “in between” stage, where bangs are mid-growth, and hair is at that weird length that you can’t wear it up, but it’s annoying and in your face when it’s down.
It’s worth it, though! Long, flowing locks spells sex appeal – and has through the pages. (Anyone ever see the gorgeous hair on Cleopatra???)
So, go for it…I am!
If you are trying to grow your hair, here are some tips:
1 – Eat protein!!! Hair IS protein (that’s why it reacts so well to keratin), so by giving it more of itself, you will help it to grow.
2 – Take your vitamins. Nutritional deficiencies will be made obvious in your hair and nails.
3 – Don’t overuse heat tools, and make sure to use a really good deep conditioning pack at least once a week.
4 – Go for regular trims! It won’t make your hair grow faster, but it will make it healthier, and those ends less likely to break off.

say it isn’t so, are you really going long??
Yay! So glad I’ve been growing mine out!! Usually I just miss the boat on these hair trends…!
Excuse me!? Short hair is still in girl.
