Shrugs & Bolero Jackets for Fall

I love the versatility of shrugs, boleros or cropped jackets – whatever you prefer to call them.

You can layer them over a light summer dress or t-shirt and keep those pieces going into fall.  They add an extra layer of warmth, a little extra camouflage for upper arms and can add a great accent to your wardrobe.

Lightweight stretch cotton shrugs can be found in a rainbow of colors, and offer and easy to wear option for warm days.

subdued shrug

This wrap-front shrug is a cotton/elastane blend by Subdued.  It’s lightweight and perfect for adding another layer and a dash of color to your outfit.

Shrugs can also work for dressier occasions too:

This lovely wool shrug by Terre Alte is accented with fabric flowers and crystal details.  The rich plum colored wool will keep you warm and cozy… and stylish too.

How about a bright pop of color?

I love the bold turquoise color of this wool/mohair blend shrug by Liu Jo.
