Steal Angie’s hair (if not her man)

Once upon a time, I sort of wanted to BE Angelina. She’s gorgeous, she has a perfect body, she’s sleeping with Brad Pitt. But then the whole mob of children happened, and I realized she was kind of INSANE.

So, let me amend that. I do not want to be Angelina. But I wouldn’t mind having her hair…

And maybe now I can! David Babaii was kind enough to share some tidbits of how he created Angelina’s look last night at the Academy Awards.

To create her romantic layers of curls, he said he first sprayed her whole head with David Babaii for WildAid Bohemian Beach Spray and scrunched it into the hair.

According to David, using this spray helped to create the texture and hold he needed for the style. Following that, he dried Angelina’s hair, dividing her tresses into 3 sections: top, sides and back leaving the nape area free.

When he got to the crown area, he used David Babaii for WildAid Volcanic Ash Root Amplifier to the root area and down the hair shaft. Then, dried this section with a jumbo round brush to add lift and volume.

Whew…not done yet. (This is why he’s a super stylist…)

“Once dry, I sectioned the hair again using the same sectioning process as I did for blow drying.” Then, using his styling iron, and curled each section into “ribbon curls” by taking small “V” shaped sections.

To do this at home, wrap the hair around and inside the styling iron close to the scalp area and pull the iron down (similar to curling ribbon)!
