Day two of the Latest Luxe Spring 2009 Designer Preview and we’ve come to Stella McCartney’s Spring and Resort Collection. These are some of my favorites from her 2009 designs….
Ribbon Embroidered Dress This looks almost like a swimsuit cover-up, but it is really a short metallic mesh dress with detailed ribbon embroidery. Dropped shoulders and an extended hemline in the back adds to the sophisticated yet casual elegance of the dress. It is $3,945.
Off-Shoulder Dotted Top & Skinny Jeans The Dotted Top is a pale three dimensional dotted yellow with a ribbed neckline and capped sleeve for $325. The jeans are a light wash and a very skinny style. The jeans are $1,175.
Bandage Dress A simple and versatile LBD. The silk bandage dress has a v neckline and a draped front with a gathered back. $1,845.
Red Belted Trench Coat Tim Gunn, of Liz Claiborne, Project Runway, and Tim Gunn’s Guide to Fashion swears by the idea of every girl needing a good trench coat. This red one, with a notched collar, double breasted buttons, and a belted natural waist is $1,645.
Sequin Dress A silk gold taupe color with a scoop neckline is perfect for a night on the town for any luxury fashionista. It is $3,995.
Boyfriend Shirt & Cropped Denim Pants The boyfriend shirt is 100% Lurex in a light pale pink for $845. The cropped denim pants are grey and may be one of those that may work on only specific body types ($295). The blazer, which I adore is coral with a notched lapel and is $1,795.
Spaghetti Strap Dress A vanilla white dress with a sweetheart neckline and an exposed back zip. Perfect with a blazer or cardigan over it. The dress itself is $1,195.
Strapless Silk Shantung Dress This dress is described as a “cream soda” color with a sweetheart neckline and draped detail and an exposed back, much like the spaghetti strap dress. This dress is $2,595.
Striped Tie Waist Cardigan An ice pink cardigan with front button closure with a tie at waist. A combination of silk, cotton and wool.
