The Fashion Show: Episode 7 Best and Worst

Sure, everyone seems to agree that Haven and Anna’s winning design from Thursday’s episode of The Fashion Show was the best…a conclusion that was predictable almost to a fault. But since there were only four designs this week between each team of two, let’s take a minute to talk about what went wrong – or right – with the other three designs.

Merlin and Johnny created quite a nice looking dress -but the coat didn’t do much for it. I like the shoes they paired with their design – and her hair is out of control messy chic! Even though I liked what the girls did, I do think this was the stronger look overall.

Next up were some crazy floral pants from Daniella and Reco that made me want to run and hide! The jacket is adorable but the rest of it…I wouldn’t even think of trying something like this on. It just goes to show, even if you have two talented designers working together, it won’t make a difference unless they are cooperating and operating as a team.

And then there was the cheap mermaid costume Lidia and James-Paul created – I don’t know if it’s karma for the way James-Paul was acting for the plus size challenge a few weeks ago or just a matter of the team being at a disadvantage since Lidia was involved (I hate to sound cruel, but at this point it was pretty obvious she was the worst of the bunch!) but this outfit just plain stinks.
