The Splendor of the Rose

When I was in the 6th grade, my friends and I tried to make homemade rose perfume.  I don’t remember the exact recipe, but I do remember my mom was not happy about the mess.  That Summer, right around the time I turned 12, I bought a little bottle of yellow rose fragrance oil.
