ULTA Awards $80,000 in Scholarships

Today, this post isn’t about makeup but rather about the beauty industry giving back. In 2008, ULTA launched the ULTA Enrich, Empower & Enlightened Scholarship Fund. This fund benefits high school girls around the country who were chosen on the basis of academic achievements, community involvement, leadership and commitment to receive scholarships.
This year, ULTA selected 16 bright, talented young women and awarded them each with $5,000 toward the educational institution of their choice. In addition to the scholarship money, the girls were given a trip to Chicago to celebrate their successes with an awards luncheon and ULTA shopping spree with ULTA CEO, Lyn Kirby.

In 2009-10, ULTA is expanding their program to additional communities nationwide. Look on their website ULTA.com in July for more information on the eligible communities and find out how to apply.
