Ultra Luxe Orchidee Imperiale Treatment

You would never know there was a recession happening just by looking at the pricetag on Guerlain’s ultra decadent (and ultra expensive!) Orchidee Imperiale creams, serums and incredible $1,500 four week intensive treatment.

The pricetag alone is enough to make even the biggest skeptic stop and read for a second. Sure, you might not be ready to part with a few hundred dollars for skin care…but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t learn a little more about it.

Guerlain has developed a skin care formula containing extract from Brassocattleya marcella orchids – a flower that happens to be particularly active when it comes to skin pigmentation and melanin production. Exclusive and doubley patented, Guerlain’s White Orchid Extract is the secret sauce that tackles signs of aging and lackluster skin tone with a vengeance.

If you are even considering laying down $400 for one of the Orchidee Imperiale products…then you must consider for a second the ultimate indulgence of the complete four week treatment package. Recommended twice a year, here is the description found on the Neiman Marcus website:

Week 1 and 2 focus on stimulating and activating the regeneration process of the skin with a concentrated and graduated physiological micro-peeling action which allows the skin to absorb an unparalleled gradual increase of IOME(Imperiale Orchidee Molecular Extract) with 10 times the concentration reached by week 4.

Lots of big words for “your skin is going to look great!’ I don’t know about you, but I remain rather skeptical about the cost and how amazing the results might be. There are not any reviews to be found on any of the websites selling the Guerlain’s Orchidee Imperiale collection and although orchids are becoming a popular ingredient in skin care products, the price alone makes it cost prohibitive to just give it a try!

Have you heard much about the Orchidee Imperiale collection? What do you think?
